jazzfish: artist painting a bird, looking at an egg for reference (Clairvoyance)
so... so vond is gone.
trying to work up emotion, and failing. milbrat syndrome. vond-- it's not that i don't miss you, it's that i know i'll run into you again. i am *very* glad i managed to get you into the amber game, and ending up so similar to how we started (i.e. that game in owens) *does* give it all a nice sense of closure.

the same sort of thing happened when jonathan left, or stephen. i miss them, because they were wonderful people. but at the same time, they've got their own lives to lead, and those lives don't involve bleaksburg. and i know i'll see them again, and (like when stephen showed up for t-con) the time between will just... fall away, like it never was.

(i've had almost no close female friends since i went fast-food. this creeps me out a bit.)

in any event, enjoy japan. and POST occasionally, dammit. :)

so. Minority Report was quite good, even though it had Tom Cruise in it, much like The Matrix. The ending felt a tad weak, and the voice-over of Tom Cruise explaining what just happened in the movie was unnecessary. Still highly recommended, though.

The three Pre-Cogs are named Agatha (as in Christie), Arthur (as in Conan Doyle), and Dashiell (as in Hammett, author of _The Maltese Falcon_). I completely missed this until I read Roger Ebert's review, in which he wondered if Agatha was named after Ms Christie.

And now, off to Nova. Yay fun.
