these days, generally when i listen to music i'm in the car going on a trip of roanoke or greater distance. this means that i've been unconsciously judging music based solely on how it does in the car.

i'm sitting here doing the morning websurfing and listening to 'hours...' (david bowie's previous album) and enjoying it quite a bit.

perhaps it's time to pick up john cale's Honi Soit again, and maybe the last half of Echo Echo.

having once more thrown out my ideas for my paper and begun anew, i'm actually starting to think it might get finished on time. today's topic: _twelfth night_ as an exploration of different classes of love (viola's 'true' love for orsino, orsino's 'selfish' love for olivia, olivia's 'first-sight' love for viola). go me.

i attempted to go running this morning. it was painful. in my laziness, my ability to breathe has worsened. guess i'll see what happens tomorrow.
