Apr. 18th, 2002 02:03 pmI have just read the first eighteen pages of George R.R. Martin's _A Game of Thrones_, the first volume of the projected six-book fantasy epic _A Song of Ice and Fire_. It's very very good. I am duly impressed.
I'm also playtesting Fantasy Flight Games's CCG based on the books. Also quite good.
Glyndwr keeps trying to overheat. Not good at all. I think it just wants more coolant, though.
I think I'm on track for at least a B in both classes, more likely a B+. Ergo, the Dean's office is likely to take me seriously now, and I may be able to pick up a degree someday.
Finished rereading _Declare_, by Tim Powers. It wasn't as good as I remembered it being for the first half, but the second half was still quite good. Ergo, recommended.
