Mar. 12th, 2002 10:40 amsheesh. it's been awhile. but i just finished my drama midterm, and the renlit midterm's not due for another week, so i figure i can take a little time to write for me.
spent the last two weeks playing Giants: Citizen Kabuto (a fairly cool shooter, although it kept crashing on me during one of the Kabuto missions, so I gave up) and The Longest Journey (an adventure game with lots and lots and lots of conversation). also, looking for work slowly.
went to nova last weekend. spent some time with my parents, and some time in Maryland. 'twas cool. got my game design shot down by the crew there (consensus is: 1, it's similar to this other game that was just republished, and 2, there's just not enough to it. so if i can come up with something else to add to it, maybe there'll be something worthwhile) and played games and generally had much fun.
the employment commission will be calling me in about half an hour to determine whether i should be getting unemployment or not. yay fun.
and other than that, life goes on. i've watched the first disc of _cowboy bebop_ (quite good) and the second disc of the TRON dvd (TRON wasn't allowed to be nominated for the Special Effects Oscar because the Academy thought that using computers for special effects was cheating), and read quite a bit. and next week i'll get started in earnest on learning C++, once my RenLit midterm is done.
