it's been busy lately.

got the radio fuse replaced, so driving north didn't completely suck. hung with the looneys &c on thursday night, playing Revised IceTraders and jacob's new pirate game. friday i ran around with steph and talked about stuff. then went shopping some more, had dinner with my family (to include my baby sister's fiance), and sat around and talked to my parents for awhile.
i've always thought that my parents were basically rational people who just happened to have no clue about my life, so it comes as something of a shock that, in all things relating to my baby sister, that they're a few fries, two chicken mcnuggets, and a small toy shy of a happy meal. they really have no clue.
anyway. got to talk a bit to joanna, which was cool. voices out of the past are always good.

satyrday i got my windshield wipers replaced and tried very hard to help my parents put a treadmill in upstairs, but was defeated by petty bickering. very good barbecue for dinner, and then i got to talk to scott. talking to scott is always good, and something i don't do enough. he seems to be doing well.
then we went to see toK's redone townhouse, which looks very nice, if not completely moved into yet. also, there's a bit of a smell of smoke, but it's entirely possible that that was just dinner. :7
sunday was faire, and wandering about in the heat and realising that everything i wanted to buy was too expensive. and if/when i *do* get a torc i'll have to redesign my garb so i can wear it and not look like a twit. saw skum do othello, which is always good. and got to see sarah! yay me! also ran into dale and renee and chort, which was neat.
and then we came home. the end.

rant rant rant.
i have just lost a half hour of work, not once, but TWICE, because the unholy combination of RoboHelp and Word for Windows is somewhat less stable than your average sixteen-year-old drama student whose boyfriend just left her for a cheerleader.
there are days when i hate this job.
