Apr. 5th, 2003 09:47 pmSheesh. I feel like I'm living out Rashomon, what with the varying points of view already posted on yesterday's activities.
Went to 20C Lit, listened to Bliss kvetch about how much English students suck because they don't take the work seriously enough. Went to Shakespeare, listened to Moss try and get us to talk about Coriolanus, perhaps Shakespeare's least-loved tragedy. Went to see Phone Booth with E, K, and Z. Good stuff. Well-filmed (it never felt boring despite having, basically, one location), it said some things (although nothing that hasn't been said before repeatedly), and it had a Moral. Although depending on who you talk to this Moral is either never answer the phone in a phone booth or always take free pizza when it's offered. Surprisingly non-violent for a movie about a sniper.
After that E went off to work and K&Z&I wandered around campus for several hours. Chased ducks. Found a most excellent climbing/sitting tree. Tried to play Sink but didn't have enough rocks or other things to Sink something with. Counted geese. Watched a sunset. Discussed religion, briefly. (For Z, lyrics to Counting Blue Cars, which is the kind of day I felt it was.) Home, food, crash.
Woke up coughing at about three. Took cough syrup (yuck), went back to sleep. Actually slept past seven o'clock for the first time in about a week. Made waffles, went to Game Day. Played Puerto Rico (excellent game) and some misc other games, laid around a lot. (I really, really don't want to be coming down with Martian Death Flu.) Dinner with E, K, Larom, and
markush, which was quite pleasant. Now home. To write a bit, maybe, or just crash.

Puerto Rico: That was awesome. Want to play it again Wednesday?
