Mar. 27th, 2003 03:28 pm1. What was the last meaningful thing you did?
Responded to email from KT.
2. What was your first love like?
Beautiful and whirlwind. Fire. Unbelievably breathtaking. When it came crashing down around my ears I thought it was the end of the world. (In a sense it was.)
3. What do you wish you could tell your parents?
My mother: that she's a bitch.
My father: that he's a Good Person.
4. What is the one thing you would never do, no matter how much you wanted to?
Heh. I have a list of things a mile long that I once thought I would never do.
5. What are your favorite sounds?
Spring peepers. The opening heartbeat to Dark Side of the Moon. The voice of someone I love.
6. How do you get over someone?
You don't. Eventually it stops hurting on its own.
7. Do you like cartoons?
Those are on that 'television' thing, right?
8. Have you ever contemplated suicide?
Yes.
9. How old were you when you gave/received your first kiss?
Real kiss? Seventeen.
"I learned the truth at seventeen..." --Janis Ian
10. How do you deal with anger?
Poorly.
11. What is your opinion on bisexuality?
Um. Opinion? Isn't that like having an opinion on gravity?
12. In a perfect world, what would you be?
I reject the first three answers that come to mind and stick with "Cat."
13. How tall are you?
Five foot nine and change. One of my goals when I was young was to get to six feet. This taught me valuable lessons about life.
14. Do you ever feel invisible?
No. But I usually avoid situations where I might.
15. Would you be willing to go on Temptation Island?
Huh?
16. Do you keep a journal?
Well, duh.
17. What is the most unusual gift you bought for somebody last Christmas?
Nothing really comes to mind.
18. Why do you fail?
A) Because I suck.
B) Because I don't try.
C) Because I get distracted.
19. Do you write snail mail to anyone or do you mostly email?
It's all email these days. And precious little of that. (I keep meaning to write
jude, though.)
20. How do you feel about pornography?
Um. Whatever.
21. What is heaven like?
I'm leaning towards the view that this life is all you get. If there's anything beyond it, we can't conceive of it.
22. What do you have on your walls?
Paint. (Flowerdy wallpaper on one.) Bookshelves. There will be art once we get someplace we're staying for more than a year.
23. What is hell like?
"Sartre wrote that hell is other people."
"Yeah, but all Sartre's mates were French."
--Red Dwarf
24. What is the most embarrassing CD in your collection?
Chumbawamba, Tubthumping, I guess.
25. What is in your fridge right now?
Tons of stuff. I have no idea.
26.What is your date and place of birth?
1976 November 27, Ft Sill OK.
27. If you could talk to yourself as a five year old for five seconds, what would you say?
(Damn, that's after my baby sister was born.)
Beats me. Five is either too late or way, way too early.
28. If Satan appeared to you right now, what would he say?
I have no idea. I have even more trouble conceiving of the existence of the Devil than I do with God.
29. What should people pay more attention to?
The important things. Art. Philosophy. Emotions. Anything but themselves, really.
30. Left handed or right?
Right, although my parents suspect they may have forced me to be right-handed.
31. What about you would surprise other people?
If I told you it wouldn't be a surprise, now would it?
32. What is your favorite poem?
Depends. Some days it's The Waste Land, some days it's Yeats's "An Irish Airman Foresees His Death."
33. What is a guilty pleasure you have?
Emotional masochism, I suppose.
34. What book changed your life?
The little booklet that came with the Sacred Rose tarot deck. It started me moving away from Xianity. Figures that I lost it years ago.
