Cool things that have happened since being here:

• I found my old hiking boots, and they fit decently well.
  
• I collected on half my birthday present, and for the first time in years have a decent pair of dress shoes.
  
• While halfheartedly cleaning out my desk I found a $50 savings bond. (Granted, it doesn't come due for another nineteen years, but still.)
  
• My father went to see Blue Man Group while he was in Boston, and thinks they're very cool.
  
• People. Scott Michelman is in town, Jonathan gets in tomorrow, and I did dinner with KT.
  

On the other hand, I spent $50 sending a package to my grandparents. Bleh. Note to self: next year, mail out-of-state xmas packages no later than December 15.

$50? Must've been heavy; I mailed a larger, nonheavy package for my mom, Express, for $37.

dingdingding. UPS Next Day Air to Arkansas. And around 12 pounds, I think. (Second note to self: when buying xmas presents for distant relatives, coffee-table books are NOT a good choice.)

Well, between the cost of mailing, and the money you found, you broke even. In 19 years at least.

Actually, it's acquiring interest (slowly), so I'll do slightly better than break even. Eventually.
