gah. been a bit.

tripped home to see parents on satyrday. failed to get out on sat nite, so i got to sit around and read. went to church on sunday morning for the first time in quite awhile. the building project is underway. they've torn up mark white's eagle project (a rose garden, now the site of the new sanctuary) and cut stephen lloyd's (a nature trail) in half. the march of progress and all that, i suppose. afterwards i got to hang out with KT for about an hour. that was cool.

the soundtrack to Run Lola Run is, except for the two 'Casino' tracks and 'Somebody Has To Pay,' the best damn driving music EVER. the feeling you get when you're about a hundred yards behind a silver miata who is convinced that there aren't any cops around is exhilarating, and only improved by the techo backbeat and the "I wanna go I wanna fight I wanna rush I wanna run I wanna see you again Under the setting sun." i still prefer Believe to Wish, but i like Running Three better than either of them.

i've been playing in a shadowrun game (shadowrun: it's cyberpunk! it's fantasy! it's cyberpunk and fantasy!) for a couple weeks now on sunday nights. i finally feel like my character has gotten a bit of direction & purpose to him, which is always good.

_Enigma_ was quite good, and from what little i know fairly historically accurate. in the details, at least; the main plot is obviously fiction. i'd have felt better about it if hester had kept her glasses for the whole film, instead of magically losing them and suddenly having jericho fall in love with her. recommended, overall.

the bloody Sun box that we've been using as a server died a horrible death in the thunderstorm monday night, so no network until about three hours ago. lucky that's over.
