stupid bloody painters were in the upstairs apartment at five this morning (emily said she heard them starting around 4:30 or so). so later today i get to go bitch at management for being bloody morons.
Having lived in the full spectrum of apartments in Bleaksburg (ridiculously cheap, midrange, and sumptuous) I feel that I can make the following generalization:

All landlords suck. ALL landlords SUCK.

I've disturbed myself greatly by feeling compelled to pick up those Real Estate papers they have for free. Of course it will be just under 2 more years until I'm out of debt on my car, so nothing in the near term, but still...

I bet Dave Martin doesn't think his landlord sucks, but that's because it's John Franklin :)

Fair enough. The landlord that doesn't suck is Yer Buddy With A Spare House. (My parents are renting out their townhouse to some friends from church, too. and as near as I can tell they're taking care of whatever problems arise and not causing more.)

Emily has decided she's moving into a townhouse next year because she's tired of upstairs neighbors. Can't say that I blame her.

Not to be rude, and feel free not to answer, but how much are you paying per month for your car? I'm only curious because I'm paying my parents back at a rate of $500/month, and I'm curious as to whether or not that's an insane amount.

I'm pretty sure I'm moving somewhere at the end of this year, but it's not clear where that will be yet.

As for the car thing, the answer isn't going to help in the way you're expecting it to. I pay $637.20 a month - which doesn't mean that you're not paying an insane amount, it merely means that I'm paying a really insane amount. The reason I'm paying so much is because I got special financing where I have to pay off the car ($23,xxx) in 3 years, but at the end I will have paid no interest. So it's a special case. I think most people in more normal situations pay $300 or so.

Oh, I knew that whatever you were paying was insane; I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't being *more* insane. :)
I may wind up cutting back to $400 a month... I'm not sure yet. It's gonna be a tight end-of-the-year anyway... and I still owe you $250 for the computer, eventually. :)
