Survived 16 hrs of travel, a week at the beach with a flaky net connection and four people trying to download and play Diablo 3, 30 hours in Richmond, an all-too-compressed few days in the DC area, work, and a fairly easy flight from National to Madison. Am now At Wiscon, more or less.

Been reading everything that goes by on DW/LJ, even though I've not been posting. Been recuperating. Starting to feel like a human being again. Not being At Work has been good for me, I think.

Will write more, later.

Yeah, yours makes mine (which will begin tomorrow) look bush league: fly out of IAH tomorrow afternoon to Wiscon, then Madison back to IAH, sleep / launder / repack until Tuesday afternoon when I fly out of IAH again to Frankfurt and thence to Berlin. Five days in Berlin (two touristy and three hacky), then fly Berlin to Newark and Newark to IAH. Then get up the next day and come back to work. :)

I have a passport and plane tickets and a hotel room and a bunch of German money and an EU-to-US power adapter and a toothbrush. There's not a whole lot else I can do to prepare.

Oh, I actually have that. The only thing I plan to read soon that it's missing is A Paradigm of Earth because I couldn't find a pirated ebook of it and I didn't want to buy it a second time.
