jazzfish: an open bottle of ether, and George conked out (Ether George)
[personal profile] jazzfish
So, I just slept for nine hours. On the drive home from dinner (tasty Italian, which has the additional benefit of being right near an amazing used bookstore that I haven't been to in over two years) I started feeling a little woozy. I curled up with [personal profile] uilos more or less as soon as I got in, and I think I must have dozed off for a bit in there.

So I dragged myself into my own bed. I didn't want to admit to being this tired, so I read another chapter of my book before turning the light off. At ten PM.

I woke up very briefly at four-thirty. I remember thinking "crap, now I'm going to lie here awake for the next two hours." The next thing I remember is hearing [personal profile] uilos up and moving around, and the light-alarm being at about half strength, which would make it shortly before seven.

I cannot remember the last time I slept for more than eight hours without some period of grumpy dozing at around the seven-hour mark. Must have been kinda tired last night.

Getting out of bed was a struggle as usual, but for once it wasn't because I was groggy. Instead it was because bed was comfortable and I didn't want to go someplace that wasn't comfortable. I think this is actually worse than "tired."

Here now, at least, and fairly functional even.
