jazzfish: Exit, pursued by a bear (The Winter's Tale III iii)

And then I just totally collapsed. Seriously. I made it through last Wednesday by force of will, but Thursday and Friday I just completely wrote off. I had vague plans of going out to see a play on Friday night, and if I'd had company I probably would have made it, but as it was my brain disengaged entirely for those two evenings.

Then people including Chris-in-exile turned up for games on Satyrday, and that was pretty much exhaustingly awesome (among other things, it had been way too long since I'd made ziti). And so Sunday turned into the same kind of collapse. Seriously, when I can spend like six hours staring at OKCupid, my brain is in need of some major downtime.

I seem to be back to normal by now, though. Which is good, because tonight I'm actually going to see the play in question, and besides I'm really tired of not being able to brain on my downtime. I've got fiction I've already written to revise, a situation I'm currently in to analyze, and a future I'd like to live in to plan.

Here's to having recovered from my vacation. And to an autumnal autumn, though yesterday's high of 92 F doesn't bode well for that one.
