snow snow snowy snow!

Five minutes later: All done now. Was nice to see, anyway. Maybe it'll be a real winter after all.

Meanwhile, it's in the 50s here... Looks like this may be a repeat of last "winter".

Hey, I like not being fired for snow.

And yes, I would be if I couldn't get to work.

Has Northern Virginia had a real winter since, oh, say, 1996 or so?

I'd heard they had one in 2004-2005, but I didn't observe it, so not sure.

Also? THIS WIND SUCKS. It knocked out power for the area all around my neighborhood. And my first grad school app is due in about four hours. I know I shouldn't procrastinate, but why must everyone else suffer, too?

WAY TO BE A DICK, ARBITRARY METEOROLOGICAL PHENOMENON.

Point of clarification: the power is estimated to be restored in about five hours.

Point of further clarification: I went to Panera, to get lunch, and get net access for finishing things up. Net access is important for both working on things, and procrastinating about them.

Point of order: I don't really know how parliamentary procedure works.
