1) Checking page proofs is a mind-numbing spirit-crushing task. I can only imagine how much worse it is if you actually have to read the things to check them.

2) The Board 2 Pieces meeples explain Essen to you, with predictable results.

3) The directions that Google Maps gave me to [livejournal.com profile] elvenyukiryu's place did not include "turn off paved road," but they did take me through about half an hour of farmland. (We can't stop here-- this is corn country.) After the first two or three miles of squinting for street signs with names like "Dr. Miller Road" and "Blue Ball Road," I began chanting "I am a town mouse and that's alright" like a mantra.

4) I should road-trip more often. I'd missed interstate driving after midnight.

5) Is it can be fall tiem naow?

OK, Avondale is sufficiently far from Philadelphia that I shall forgive you for not coming to visit me as well.
This time. :P
(It was Blue Ball Rd. that tipped me off. You pass it on the way to Philly.)

Re 5) I see a lot of brown leaves outside but I'm not sure that's what you're asking for.
