Spent Thursday night finishing watercolors [I hate watercolors], and woke up Friday morning with a sore throat. "Oh joy, sinus drip," I thought. Turned in watercolors, winced at their awfulness, and then went and saw Hitchhiker's. Visuals were fantastic (especially the Magrathea factory floor); the script could've been better. Especially given their tendency to cut the punchlines out of jokes. ["So you think I write poetry because underneath my mean, callous, heartless exterior, I really just want to be loved. Is that right?" "Well, yes, er--" "Wrong! I write poetry to throw my mean, callous, heartless exterior into sharp relief! I'm going to throw you out the airlock anyway!" being the most egregious example.] Glad I saw it, might see it again if someone were to rent it, won't be buying it or going out of my way to see it. Not for awhile, anyway. Played a few games Friday night and got progressively more woozy, woke up Saturday with a full-fledged headcold. Fought it off with tons of orange juice and generally not doing much.

By Sunday it'd mostly gone away, so I buckled down and got started on design lab gallery stuff. Monday brought the worrisome addition of a cough, though at least the wooziness had left, and today the cough is worse and gallery is tomorrow. Another sleepless night, I think. [Which is why I'm wasting time on LJ, of course.]

It's actually not so bad. Four more lighting thumbnails to finish up [half-hour to forty-five minutes apiece] and the lettering on the floorplan [could take as long as an hour to do properly], and then some touch-up on the study model. More cutting rectangles out of tracing paper and mixing up a shade of brown that I don't quite recall how I got in the first place. Oh, and building a gridwork out of balsa.

A theatre major was so not worth this hassle.
