Reading Steph's blog always makes me feel guilty about not writing in my own.
I suppose I should be doing work, but the product I'm writing docs for doesn't exist yet and my first draft is off being checked for glaring errors. So I'll take time to write for myself.
It's been a busy week. Well, no, not really. I just haven't bothered to write lately and thus am faced with the prospect of writing about a lot of stuff. Ergo, I shall simply skip over much of it.

Mark gave me Skeleton Warriors (TM) for Christmas last Wednesday. The box reads "Ages six and up." Just not very far up. I have not played a game this ridiculous in ages. Strategy consists of "Roll sixes." Cf. Candyland. Regardless, it was kind of fun, and may get pulled out once a month or so. (Mark wasn't offended, since he paid a buck for it.)

We sat around and watched _The Prophecy_ again on Friday night. It's the minor characters and their throwaway lines that really make that movie. "Well, there are what an experienced detective such as yourself might construe as signs of a struggle." Et cetera. Plus Chris Walken perching.

I accomplished absolutely nothing worthwhile on Sunday except getting my laundry done. It felt good to be a bum for a day.

So I'm reading _Flaubert's Parrot_ by Julian Barnes, and suddenly I realise that I have no good outlet to talk "literature." Not like I read much "literature" but you know what I mean. Most of the people I hang out with don't read much anymore, or read Anne McCaffrey (twitch) and Mercedes Lackey (twitch twitch), leaving me with only Emily to talk to. And it works out well, because I toss books her way when I finish with them (like _Declare_)... but a fresh perspective would be nice. And I don't think she'd like _Flaubert's Parrot_. But I'm not really far enough in to say whether *I* like it or not.

Anyway. Back to work for me.

Yeah. That sounds about right.
