The sunlight this morning is bright enough to hurt my eyes. My morning-brain is having trouble reconciling this with not being able to see past the end of the street for fog / low cloud cover.
And Cardero Park, the tiny tree-lined strip out my window, has gone all yellow from fallen leaves.
For once November's not freezing everything in sight. Days like this, I feel like I can handle what's being thrown at me, and maybe even everything else I've dropped or dodged or failed to catch.
Happy autumn, happy November.
